Love. This.

I love the way that Jim is opening up to Blair - how willing he is to work with him to help himself. I think that his desperation, because of the long-standing nature of his plight, has realistically made him much more willing than canon-Jim. Makes sense, and it's really working for the story...which is made of AWESOME. *nods firmly* Love the growing attraction between them, too, which makes so much sense since they're both completely Gorgeous! *giggles*

Thank-you so much for your obvious hard work on this wonderful fic, Arrow. :)

Yes! Yay, you are totally right-I made a very conscious decision to make this Jim somewhat more vulnerable and accepting of help, because, let's face it, he's had two years of watching his life go down the tubes (not just a coupla weeks.)

Thank you for taking the time to comment at each section, Anna. You are such a sweetheart. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Oh, I like how Blair initially comes off (with the can-he-hear-me test) a little potentially sleazy and exploitative, but then when we get back in his POV, he's clearly just excited and meaning well. That combination feels very Blair to me. And Jim's attraction to the idea of a way of conceiving of his senses that's different from the sickness model -- potentially unlikely that he'd choose hippie over conventional medicine, but it's done here in terms of a kind of basic self-respect and common sense that again seems very in tune with his attitude about it on the show, where he was willing to accept the out-there explanation very quickly because it made sense of his situation and his sense of self ( ... )

Wow, lady. You commented on each part. That is so very kind of you.

Yes...I felt on the show Blair looks unfortunately opportunistic at first until you get to know him.

I'd gotten so into the AU aspect that I'd actually forgotten what it said in the header, and I was starting to get nervous this might be gen! *g*

*swallows gum* Oh, man. I am so not capable of writing a long gen piece. There would be all this *touching* all the time and possibly inordinate amounts of Unnecessary Bathing....but I have to admit while I was writing this I was very disappointed that I'd set things up so it made no sense at all or them to leap into hot monkey sex.
