\o/!

His voice was like those plates shifting together, grinding the earth into dust.

As a reformed geologist, I loved the geology analogy.

This was sweet, Arrow, the two of them falling asleep on the couch, the warmth and closeness, the physical togetherness. And this:

...and the way Fraser seemed to puddle against Ray so they were touching everywhere they could.

Lovely and wonderful.

Aww...and OMG, that had me tied in knots from the beginning! Terrifying! Youcalled this FLUFF? You gotta be kidding me. It's terrific. It's angst-filled. It's NOT fluff.

And I love it. Love your Ray here. Love Fraser; how he owned up to being angry, how he made his decision--even though he knew, or suspected, that Ray didn't even remember the "flying" conversation. This is just amazing. I'm so glad I popped on here to check the flist. Scored great fic! :) \arrow/

Frightening start there, arrow00! Poor Fraser was right on the edge of losing it, there in the ambulancew, and later, seeing him fierce in the hostpital.

I loved the way Welsh brought him a pastrami sandwichand "You look like crap."
"Thanks. That means a lot coming from you, sir." Awww, it's like a big bear hug, Welsh-style, and Ray knows it.

Them falling asleep on the couch together was just lovely.

i can't. i just. i...i...OMG, I'M GRINNING SO HARD IT HURTS, RIGHT NOW, ARROW.

i was all, "oh, no porn? too bad." but i ALWAYS forget: the little moments of emotional connection that you build between them? BETTER THAN SEX, OH MY LORD.

there are sparkly hearts where my eyes used to be, i'm so madly in love with this story.

"Crazy Mountie with a halo," Ray said. "Don't belong in this world, Fraser. What were they thinking, sending you down here into the muck?"

&hearts !!!

and:

Then Fraser pulled back and stared at him some more, this time with a little crinkle around his eyes, and Ray knew just what that meant. Fraser only ever looked like that when Ray had done something that amazed him. Which must happen a lot, because it was a familiar expression. Ray didn't know when that had happened, that he'd gotten used to that look and had started doing things to get to see it more.

yeah. this is me, speaking from the AFTERLIFE, cuz that killed me with LOVE.

&hearts
