Draco had awoken before it was time and took a long shower. He didn't do anything with his hair as he knew they'd want to redo it at the studio. He'd gotten dressed and waited for Harry, not say much beyond what was necessary. What was the point? Harry hated him, so he might as well keep quiet ( Read more... )

Harry spent his day with his face buried in his magazine, which he actually read through three and a half times, and floored by how rude everyone was behind Malfoy’s back. No one really noticed that he was with Malfoy until they were leaving and then a few people stared, probably horrified that they’d trashed him in front of him. He kept stealing glances at him to see if he knew what they were saying, but he couldn’t really tell. All he knew was Malfoy was cranky and looked beat.

“You all right?” he asked quietly as they made their way outside and out onto the busy street. Unfamiliar with this area, he glanced around until he figured out which direction they’d Apparated from and then he tugged on Draco’s wrist to get him to follow him. Walking never hurt anyone, he hoped Malfoy didn’t mind it.

Draco rubbed his temples and nodded to Harry. "I'm fine. Sometimes the lights give me a bit of a headache is all," he said, not even bothering to wonder why Harry would care. He tended to zone out during shoots. If he worried too much about what he said to whom and who was going to turn around and use it against him later, he'd either never say anything, or make his headache worse.

He looked up and around, suddenly realizing that they hadn't Apparated back, but didn't seem to care much. "I suppose as an exercise in the glamourous life, that was rather dull, wasn't it?" He smirked and turned them down another street, a short cut back to his flat. "Unless a full discussion about the size of my arse is considered thrilling."

His eyes widened for a moment as he realized that he'd talked about his arse to Potter, who wasn't entirely straight and might be thinking about it now. He cleared his throat. "Anyway," he said quickly to change the subject, "I'm starving."

Harry glanced sideways at Malfoy and bit his lip to keep from grinning. It took every bit of self restraint he had not to say that talking about Malfoy’s ass would have been a lot more entertaining than watching everyone take pictures all day. He didn’t, though, because teasing Malfoy about his ass would be wrong. And Harry didn’t like his ass anyway.

“Oh, don’t look so scared,” he said, rolling his eyes towards the sky. “Just because I’m…” he trailed off and made a hand gesture in front of him that was supposed to indicate less than straight. “Doesn’t mean I’m going to jump your bones. Besides, I’m sure it’s somewhere in my contract, not getting involved with the clients,” he teased. And then stopped abruptly. He shouldn’t be teasing Malfoy.

He cleared his throat. “Do you want to stop somewhere and eat or just go back to your flat?”

"Let's just grab some Vindaloo takeaway, yeah?" Without waiting to hear Harry's agreement on the subject, Draco stormed off to a rundown storefront that proclaimed having authentic Indian cuisine. He wasn't sure why it bothered him that Harry couldn't get involved with clients. It wasn't as if he wanted to get involved with him, or even wanted Harry to 'jump his bones,' right? Yet, he was standing in the parlour of the eatery, petulantly ordering Vindaloo that he secretly hoped Harry would hate.

He crossed his arms and glared at the woman who took his order. She rolled her eyes at him and greeted Harry. "He's with me. Well, not with me because his contract forbids that," he snapped before he had a chance to censor it.
