Yeesh, it's been sixteen years. Makes me feel old.

I've been reading articles here and there, and I'm sorry journalists, maybe it's just me being sensitive, but anything we have felt in California is simply not comparable to what's going on in Haiti. I know earth shaking = earth shaking and all but. No. Seventy-two people died because of ( Read more... )

Well, what else could possibly be the answer? Coffee? Me thinks not. TEA!

Otherwise, no. I have no idea how to fix sleep patterns~~

My girl!hormones would like to challenge yours to rock, paper, scissors. (See above, re: DYING.)

The way I readjust my sleeping schedule is to take my amitriptyline really early, since it usually puts me to sleep a few hours later. I'm assuming you don't need to take anti-migraine sedatives to survive, so sleeping pills or drowsy medicine?

People always seem to think what happened to them is the absolute worst thing ever. Which can be bad enough in the normal course of things, but for something like this...ugh.

On a happier note, though, tea most certainly can be the answer! For instance, on Friday night, I didn't get home from a bar gig until quarter to two, but I had to be awake and teaching a five-year-old at ten that morning. Answer to very little sleep? Strong black tea in the morning (and evening). Worked like a charm.

I've never experienced a 'quake, but I've lived through several big hurricanes, including Katrina (Southern Louisiana native, oh hai there)... so yeah. I agree with you. I know a lot of us down here are working our tailfeathers off to gather money and the like, myself included.

That said, about the sleep thing -- I have TERRIBLE rhythms that can put me awake at 2PM after a long night and wake me again at 5PM (case in point right now). The only way I've found around it is to just drag yourself through one hardcore-crappy day and sleep at a 'human' time (say 9PM?) and my body equalizes itself to get me up around 6-7AM. Good luck. D:!
