No groc for mesweetmmeblueJuly 13 2010, 22:02:38 UTC
I can totally appreciate you playing with makeup and the skill you have at doing it. I just don't get the motivation to do it. I never "played with makeup". It was something I did cause I either had to or peer pressure. I was also never taught how to do it.

Thanks! I feel like I figured out the playing with makeup thing just in the last couple of years. Youtube has helped me a LOT with figuring out how to do stuff with makeup, especially eye makeup, which I found incredibly daunting at first, and still feel kind of amateur at it.
As for the motivation, I can't really explain it (and I know you weren't necessarily asking me to), and I find it a little confusing to find that I'm now a makeup person, if almost exclusively for fun and play and going out, rather than as a day-to-day thing. I like playing with different notions of myself, and spending time on making myself feel pretty, which is something I only learned to feel and value (and to feel good about feeling and valuing) fairly recently.
My lips were uber simple: Revlon ColorStay Ultimate in Nude. I think they look fancier because of the light.

Yeah, youtube is totally my savior on this! This woman - http://www.youtube.com/user/kuuipo1207 - is my favorite, but there are lots of goods ones up there.
Re: my eyebrows: thank you! I'm kind of ridiculously vain about them, so that's one of my favorite compliments to get :)
No a/c here (though I did then go out to a restaurant with a/c)! I use minimal foundation at all times (and blush is wasted on me), but especially when the weather's like this; I basically just moisturize and go. In this picture, I'm just wearing lipstick and eye makeup.
Thanks! I'm enjoying it, myself, so I'm glad others are, too, from time to time :)
