ceelove, for consistently, mindfully, and joyfully inhabiting all the bits of her life more than anyone else I've ever known.

ceelove. She grows and thinks and thinks and grows, and she does things she wants to be doing, even if they require a lot of effort or are scary.

I was asked this when I was 9. For some unfathomable reason I answered:

"Lenin. Because he was a good chess player."

Two days ago was his birthday. I found it strange that, lo after these many years, I still automatically remembered that.

Today I am particularly admiring dietrich and all the contributors to the excellence of The Winter's Tale. I saw it with lights and music for the first time last night and all the elements just came together beautifully to make a great production. As a director myself, I know how many balls one has to juggle to make something like that happen and wow, what an amazing job.

I am also full of admiration for my mom--she took what could have been a really bad fall today, especially for someone who's 83, and was just so strong and resilient. Watching her lying there, it flashed through my mind how much we all depend on her and how amazing she is to still be such a vibrant, lively person putting so much warmth and energy into the world.
