My extended family lives in the burbs of SanFran and they love it up there. Sounds like maybe you just need to move to a different area of the city. Or you should move to Oklahoma City. You'd think you're effing rich. Everything here is dirt cheap and (almost) everyone has a country western twang and businessmen wear cowboy boots. It's pretty badass if you can learn to ignore the backwood rednecks. Within the city it's pretty easy to ignore those types cause they are outnumbered by us "big city liberals." Just an idea. I could take you to all the cool places. Oh yeah we also have a sweet art district and gay bars. I'll try to end my come to OKC marketing spiel. Basically, I think you really might enjoy it here. It's cliche but people seriously are very nice here and I've only seen a few bad trannies in the past 20 years.
