Survival of the fittest?
Well now... Layoffs at work, announced a day early.
And I survived.
I'm relieved that I still have a job, of course. But I sincerely wonder at the criteria that were used to make the final selections. I honestly think I do good work, but nobody is indispensable, and I really thought I was going to get the axe.

This was an interesting weekend. I entered my first (fairly) major pool tournament, and finished about eleven places away from the money.
