Dancing with Sound
Okay something I've been considering for some time now
Glowies. Dancing.
you see this combo a lot
Everyone loves glowies
I want to work on my club scene for my Jura, but... I don't want to just make more flashy lighty stuff
sure it'll be there
but I want another way, another 'trend' brought into this scene
I was thinking
a device that created a tone/pitch, based on how fast the movement was. Think, like twirling around a pipe, and how it makes that whisting noise.. how about something more sofisticated that that, that also can work with the sounds of the enviroment, adding to the music around, and even stand alone one who practices with it could almost make a sound by dancing.
Just think, a group of maybe 3 dancers with sound making movement activated devices, co-ordinated in such a way that their very movements itself creates the music they dance to.
One concept I have in mind, is something yo-yo like, you'd pretty much poi with it. gyro sensors in it would detect movement and the speeds in which it is being swung, and it creates a a solid tone, which rises in pitch based on how fast it is going
I would also like to try to plan out something a bit more compliated, figure out how something could react to outside sound.. and just how truely possible my concept could be.
Also trying to think of devices that could be worn on fingers or shoes..
So if any of you could help me with this, that would be VERY VERY much appreciated. I really like this Idea, and I'd really like to work into the details of it, make sure it could be very believe able. (I really don't like making things just because it'd be 'cool' I care very much about believablity. I take my worldbuilding very seriously)
