Did I express a different view to you before? Maybe I didn't say it right, because I've always been annoyed by people who turned on artists for being successful, ever since I heard people bitching about Rammstein and Metallica selling out when I was first getting into Metal. Maybe I was talking about something else... or just overtired at the time ;)

Mainstream music still doesn't work for me, generally speaking, but that's a personal taste issue as much as anything else. And I would still argue for a difference between Lady Gaga and, say, the Spice Girls.
