That's the thing about challenging authority...Sometimes you get smacked down. As far as I know, all you're entitled to is a "Them's the rules" from a staff member of the hotel or con, and then it's your choice to either comply or get the ban hammer.

Totally sucks that they handled it like this though. I know you were really looking forward to the con. They refunding you for your room?

Well, I would say its time to start a campaign to get MFF shut down once and for all. This goes to prove its "staff" is unable to run a con, or handle basic problems.
