Wow. I can't believe it's been a year since I updated this. Stupid uni. >.Well, uni is officially over now, and I graduate next month - the 19th. I'm a bit nervous - after everything, I ended up being the only student left on the Zoology with aquatic biology program. So....I'm the only one graduating from my class. Since we graduate by class

There is however absolutely no reason at all to be looking at low paid work. You know what you want to do, find someone willing to pay you to keep doing it. Don't settle for less than your dream job, or at least the first step on a well defined path to your dream job.

XD What I really want to do I can't do right now. I want to get my doctorate, but I got turned down for the only one that interested me because I was predicted a 2.1 and I didn't have a Masters! Now that I have a first, I probably could get a Ph.D placement, but there are none open that interest me. So, I'll keep looking and do something else in the meantime.
Getting a job while I'm waiting will allow me to learn to drive, so that's a bonus! And I'm well aware that I shouldn't be looking for low-paid work, but the hard truth is that I have no money, and a child to support. I'm struggling to survive right now, so if any job comes up, I'd feel pretty guilty about saying no. That said, I'm currently looking at teacher training, and have a couple of interviews lined up next week. Apparently, a first class from a Russell Group institution opens up a LOT of doors! I never even dreamed....
What's new with you? :)

I would recommend waiting until you can get a PhD in something interesting that comes with it's own funding. You don't want to be trying to pay for everything yourself while also working beyond full time.
As for me, I'm back at the Uni of Essex, working along side Vince in MIS. It's pretty awesome actually, the work is interesting, if not exciting, and the pay is great. I've got a nice little flat along the river, and when I get kicked out of here in August I've got another one lined up that's a little smaller, but has a better view, of the actual river this time (all my windows currently face other peoples flats).
Life is pretty good, and I'm sure once you find some gainful employment yours will be too (if it isn't already).
