For most of the year, Glaswegians who travel forty miles east, arrive in Edinburgh and get the strange feeling that they're in a different country.  But in August, it seems like they're on another planet.

I had no idea it was just 40 miles!

Thanks for this post... the Edinburgh festival was one of the highlights of my stay in Britain. In just over two days we saw thirteen shows... what a whirlwind! I need to get back there to see something of the city!
