Reminds me of the physics proof in class that used lowercase delta, partial derivative d, d, and scripty d. I think it also had about three different types of r. Sadly, the professor's handwriting wasn't quite good enough to actually tell the things apart.

That's terrible. Our prof has indistinguishable r's and n's, but at least he's not as bad as last year's who couldn't write legibly at all.

Or a math professor of mine who used X, x, Χ, χ,(upper- and lower-case chi), some sort of bold/script X, × (multiplication), as well as lowercase ts that were slanted into x-ish-ness all at once.
