I checked your reading list and found some books I think I'd enjoy - thanks for posting that!
I think Holly Black has a sequel out to Tithe. I'm not positive, though.
This might seem like a silly question, but some titles can be deceiving, so I thought I'd ask - does Wolfwalker have wolves in it? ^.^

Yep. A wolfwalker is someone bonded to a wolf... and the wolves in this world are as intelligent as the humans. There are five books involving the characters in Wolfwalker total, then one with a child character from the original pair, then another that's sort of a solo book set in the same world.

I have recently read the Kushiel Trilogy by Carey, and while I loved them all, they can be a bit of a heavier read. Very long, thick books, and you must pay attention to detail, too.

The Bio of a SPace Tyrant series is one I haven't read in years. As I seem to recall, dimly, I enjoyed the first 3 or 4? I wonder if that's the same one I'm thinking of? I'm sure it is..

Thanks for the ideas to add to my reading list, too!

I read the first Kushiel book some time back (it's on my 2003 reading list I think), and haven't gotten around to finishing it. ladyrayce decided to prompt me to finish - she mailed #2 to me! ;-)

I'd never read the Space Tyrant books, although I'm a long-time Anthony fan, so I got them in a bookcrossing.com trade... But I have #1 and #5, so I'll be hunting 2-4 if I like #1.

If you ever have recs, let me know. I'm always adding to my book wishlist.

It's really, really hard to get through the first half of the first Kushiel book, but it does finally pick up and in the later books you realize why ALL that background history is important. We had a fun time identifying the various cultures described with their counterparts in this universe, and even superimposed a map of central Europe over the maps in the books. Great fun!
