10.6.2 had corrupted a small number of 3rd party programs I have installed but that's just a matter of them writing updates to fix their bugs. So far, so good with the install.
We've had nothing but trouble with Seagates as well. They crash more often than Princess Diana's chauffeur. Westesrn Digitals are our go tos as well. They are very, very reliable. Even the larger 1T and 2T.
