A good while back, our housemate P got bitten by the Mac bug after seeing how stylin' R & me were with our cool rigs, and so he went out n bought a MacBook Pro for his very own- mind, he ended up mostly using it to run VMware & Safari, but, well, give it time n all, je?

Do a search for Leopard Cache Cleaner. I think I paid $9.99 for it. It's an amazing little tool that I run weekly repair permissions, etc. It also has specialized tools that I'm sure will come in handy.

I just got my iMac back from Apple. The hard drive broke down and they had to replace it. The last time I did a back up was a year ago, so lots of pictures lost, etc. Stupid me.

Still, this was the first time I've had a major problem with an Apple product. sure, laptop batteries die, and so do iPods, but I'd never lost data or had file corruptions and I'm on my 5th mac now!

I have a feeling that Apple had some bad drives recently. My own HD makes far more tics than I'm happy with.
