100% CANON. WE SEE THEM SNOG AND GWEN WALKS IN ON THEM PLAYING NAKED HIDE AND SEEK IN THE GREENHOUSE.

Personally I don't think it's necessary to watch all of Doctor Who before you watch Torchwood, just the episodes with Captain Jack.

torchwood! but, i'd recommend watching it in order with the new doctor who. as in:
doctor who season 1 (and specials)
doctor who season 2 (and specials)
torchwood season 1
doctor who season 3 (and specials)
torchwood season 2
doctor who season 4

it will make infinitely more sense that way. ^^

the john and rodney show sga is also awesome, though the last season seems to be a case of every other episode being good/total crap. :/

GAH, I wanna SGA so bad, because I love the cast so much. There isn't a character that I don't like on the show, which is amazing, and john/rodney!!!!

And thank you for the DocWho/Torchwood watching list! That's good to know, and makes downloading easier.

OH GOD, I LOVE BRITISH TV. ONLY 13 EPISODES EACH SEASON. NOT AS DAUNTING AS IT LOOKS. LOOOOOVVVEEEE.

It seems really quirky, the few episodes that I've seen. I adore Bone and Booth, and the supporting cast, and gahhhh, they're so cute.

I saw the Christmas episode, the one with the dead Santa and mistletoe? HAD ME GIGGLING THE ENTIRE TIME.

TORCHWOOOOODDDDDDD.

But you knew that already. Heh. Doctor Who is also awesome, and related. There's a bajillion seasons, but forget all the old stuff, and watch the new series that starts with the Ninth Doctor. It's a tad more accessible, and if you like it you can go back and watch older episodes.

You don't strictly need Doctor Who for Torchwood, but Torchwood is set in the same universe, centered around a character from Doctor Who, so you might be a little lost. BUT! There is Wikipedia, and me, both of whom have quick answers to canon questions! ;D

OOOOH! OOOH! Can I make a little 'Intro to Torchwood' post for you? Home with free time, must make use of it! :D
