Load off my mind

I'm back home from the hospital after thyroid surgery. Still waiting for the biopsy, but I'm so glad to have it all behind me. The great bonus was that several of my fave fics were updated. Can't think of a nicer way to recuperate . . .

Thanks, sweetie -- I refuse to be anything but optimistic. And all the recent Jamesey news and pics are great medicine . . . :-)

Ouch for the surgery.
Take plenty time off.

Hi, there! Did you by any chance meet up with some of the ladies from CDS at one of James' concerts this week? They mentioned meeting a very nice someone who wrote a Spiley story, and I immediately thought of you.

Yes, I met them - we went for a meal, and it was all very much fun.
How kind of them to say so!
I must join.
I must retire....

Thanks -- I'm glad to be back, and ready to catch up on all the great stories I've missed! I think you've finished one and started another since I've been able to do any reading . . . can't wait to see what you've come up with. ::hugs::

Yay! I'm glad it got there okay. Four of the discs are DVDs that should play on your DVD player, or at least your computer, and one is a data CD that has all my Houston pictures on it. There is a gorgeous one of you that shows your tattoo off very nicely. I made the first CD for Socky, so included a lot of random MP3s and stuff she didn't have. Let me know if you have any trouble opening anything!

Hi, I somehow ended up at your LJ I think through clicking around and this entry caught my eye. I actually just had thyroid surgery around December; had the whole thing taken out and am on my daily fix of hormones. Just wanted to say Hi to another person going through the same thing. :)

Hope all turns out well with your surgery.

Thanks! I'm doing the radioactive iodine treatment right now, which means I'm confined to two rooms in the house, away from everyone else, and I'm bored out of my skull!! I never thought having unlimited time to lay around and read, watch tv, or play on the computer could get tedious:-) I hope everything went well for you with your thyroid -- thanks for saying 'hi' and the good wishes -- it means a lot.

I did the radioactive iodine treatment too. It was such a drag, and I couldn't go to class for like 2 days. although I guess that's a good thing. hehe. did you have to go on that low-iodine diet? that was a bitch!
