Merlin's Apprentice on SciFi?
You might want to go chew tinfoil instead. That's what I'll be doing over here, until the heinous costuming and tripe dialogue fades from my brain.

Sad to say, I ended up watching the show for Martin Short. The dialogue and situations ... annoyed me, but Martin Short's Frik was a delight.
I think that Merlin may play better as a mysterious advisor than as the hero.

The sequel is just horrid. Sam Neill's not even around for the entire thing (I know, spoilery, but seriously, don't even subject yourself to it) and I certainly don't blame him.
