I liked this one! It had so many elements of things I enjoy & loads of Rory-love & the Doctor being remotely alien in so many contradictory ways but oh-so-himself & no easy answers.
Robots! Pet Rory-bot! The scenery was delicious too. Older Amy doing something 'for' Rory but also never giving up & being all amazing. On one hand, I was intrigued by seeing an Amy that had to do life on her own. She could do it. But at the same time, I still want to see an Amy that gets to do life with Rory.
In a strange way, I feel the opposite about River. I'd like to see a River who got to have her parents, but the River who did not get her parents... that's the one we know. complicated!
Ah... and Rory accepting the Doctor's compliment. Ah-haha.
Oh yeah, and I love the bit where both Eleven and Rory are hiding their noses in their jackets to avoid the 'one-day plague'...hee. I mean, deadly serious, but hee. Doctor & Nurse & make-do facemasks!
I was skeptical about this at first. Who isn't if you are a scifi fan and you see aged up makeup in the previews. I think prior to this the only character aging up story I liked was from Deep Space Nine with Jake being the one taking the long road
( ... )
Moff & he's better at a 1-parter. I think he's alright especially with writing fellows (Pete! Rory!), but I liked this story loads. And I think maybe, just maybe, he was meant to write Eleven and not Ten.
