At least they have to be better than those ghastly ginormous overpriced trade paperbacks that weigh as much as a housebrick. They were the worst publishing idea ever.
TSPs are fucking awful, I agree. And stupid, because they're killing the 2nd hand market as well; retailers just won't take'em. But these... we're supposed to go all wow about *reduced* quality paper? print size?
And I don't know about you but I wouldn't be able to hold a book shaped like that in the open position for more than about ten minutes at a time... physically very difficult to sustain, surely?
(How does one keep it open while eating, for example? a normal book, you can put the spine under the lip of the plate without obscuring the text or interfering with dinner; that won't work for these...)
