Marcus and Esca, YAY!!!!!!!! I slashed them when I was in my 20s. There are a few ok stories on AO3.

I was way too 'innocent' to slash them back in the day but I knew that Marcus and Esca interacting together always gave me a wee thrill. Did you ever see the UK television series that was made in the eighties? I remember watching it and enjoying it but I can't honestly remember now if it was any good.

Yes, that's the one I'm talking about. 1977, with Anthony Higgins and Christian Rodska. The link above is to a documentary excerpt which shows some of the surviving footage from the series :)

It is - overseas. Not here yet, as far as I can see. Hence the ahem dodgy source. Which has only convinced me to go and see it properly :) if only so I can get a decent look at what looks like lovely filming.

It's a real old-fashioned film, with real dressed-up people thumping each other on a real hillside. Yay :)
