No, it's not Dot from Hazell...

It's Mark Wingett in Fox. And there's more where that came from folks.

A starter icon kit of all the boys - Vin, Ray, Joey, Phil and Kenny - plus King Billy (of course!), Connie and - for the TB spotters among us - Carol.

And then there's Mark. And a decidedly youthful Bill Nighy. Well well.

I got the DVDs ages ago - great stuff, a Trevor Preston piece with an incredible cast :)

There is a full rip up at thebox dot bz - search for Fox 1980 and it comes up straightaway. If you're not a member, email me at the usual addy and I'll issue an invite.

The ep you want is #6: Stick or Twist, in which the dear lad is naughty and Ray gets to be Bad at him ;p

On a completely unrelated note, I'm watching SBSs's night of Speer -- and am most surprised to see Tobias Moretti playing Hitler (though I did think I remembered those wonderful blue eyes from the ad from somewhere).

But, well, the way he plays Hitler... I now have Hitler / Speer slash burned into my mind.

Dammit, we don't have TV at the mo (dud aerial). I knew there was a Nuremberg thingie on sometime in Jan. but not Speer. (Reading Evans on the Third Reich at the moment, so any additional material would be super).

What was the Speer programme called? Mayhap my in-laws have taped it...

The Nuremberg thing is a UK made 3 parter, Speer was the subject of the 1st ep.

That was followed by the first ep of Speer and Hitler which is a German produced 3 parter -- and which looking at the teleguide has been shown on SBS before. It starts off with Speer receiving his indictment at Nuremberg and proceeding to have lots of flashbacks as he starts to prepare his defence.

It was actually quite interesting to compare the casting between the two, especially given that a good chunk of the "presend day" scenes between the two were perforce identical.

Watching it, you realise just how much Moretti acts with his wonderful blue eyes.

I'm not familiar with Moretti - looked him up on imdb and none of the titles rang a bell. But I'll keep an eye out for him :)

Thanks v much for the info - I'll see if I can DL the series' or whatnot.
