I watched Northanger Abbey last night, the new one with Felicity Jones that ITV aired during their Six Degrees of Doctor Who season, and I had to lol because it reminded me of the "artistic merit" stuff that's going on with LJ. He's going to be such a scapegoat for LJ. I bet he gets fired.

I love Northanger Abbey. It's my favourite Austen.

I don't think he'll get fired, because I don't have much faith that LiveJournal will make any big changes. But I won't be surprised if it happens, and it makes me a bit sad. I mean, proportional response is not: you deleted my blog, so I'll delete your job. Way to be reasonable, fandom!

I read Northanger Abbey in my first English class, and at the time I hated it (I was 14 and hated most serious literature because I thought I was SO smart and a WAY better writer anyway). I started reading Austen again when I was ~16, and I loved Pride and Prejudice, but I thought NA was quirky and wonderful. So now my favourite Austen is whichever one I'm reading at the moment.
