[Replica is fumbling madly with Blessenwood guild building's hologram machine. Fumble, fumble, fumble... Oops, that probably wasn't the right button.]

[Blindly presses one last control. *Blip!* And there's now a breathless replica more-or-less responding to Asch's question, although he doesn't have the answer you're seeking.]

Asch! ...Asch, it's really you!

[The original listens intently as it sounds like someone is about to respond from Blessenwood. He just doesn't expect to hear that voice after almost one year of freedom. He stares back at the hologram in bewilderment as if Luke has grown a Vangoatee. ]

[...Then that startled (and possibly disgusted) expression vanishes as he sobers up somewhat. He crosses his arms and furrows his brow a bit because this is Luke who knows even less about these things than he does. ]

[The words tumble over each other as Luke tries to calm down and fails. Don't lose it in front of this guy, Luke!]

[Luke just ignores the look and smiles tentatively.]

[Asch narrows his eyes for a split second before jerking his head up and puffing up his chest for maximum grump effects. He doesn't need pity from him, of all people. Or maybe it's easier for him to think that this person doesn't actually care about him. ]

Then go find your friends. You've only kept them waiting for you for almost two years now.

[Only he doesn't realize anyone other than Ion is gone.]

...Huh? [Luke looks surprised at that remark, and not a little hopeful. It'd be great to see everyone again!] Ion and I have already talked. I heard Jade was around? And Ion said some of the God-Generals were...

It's not like I wanted to! If I could have gotten here sooner - or anywhere at all for that matter, I would have tried.

[But Asch probably doesn't want to hear about it. Luke's trying to keep it all together, but he still casts his original an almost pleading look.]

Asch. Have you seen any of the others?

Ion? Then the Fon Master...

[He cuts himself off and looks away, realizing that all the time spent bonding manriry with roommeito would be forgotten, most likely...Only he realizes that this technology does make him visible to one dreckplica, so he clears his throat and scowls, trying his best to make it seem like answering that question is an inconvenience.]

Mostly people from the Order, other than you and the Necromancer. Anise came and went a couple of times, and last I checked, Tear was here.

[He hasn't heard from the melodist for a while, but it's not like they have ever been pen pals.]

[Wait. He's the one who should be asking the questions. Time to cut off the conversation.]

[Luke can only watch in confusion as Asch stops mid-sentence. Did Asch not know about Ion, or was this about Ion being dead? Luke couldn't be sure, and he didn't get around to asking before Asch spoke up again.]

So Jade is here...

[And Tear?! ...He needed to find her as soon as possible. To let her know he was okay. From the sound of it, there was a lot he needed to do. He just wasn't sure in which order would be best. Dammit!]

...Wait! What do you mean Anise "came and went"? I get that we were summoned here, but, how do you go about leaving? And Tear. Where was she when you last saw her? Was she okay--

[Luke didn't get to finish. But he had so many questions! Why couldn't Asch cooperate for once? Then again... if Luke helped Asch, would he tell him more about the others? It wasn't as if he had any other leads. The trouble was figuring what to do about Ion.]

[Luke quiets down and grows more serious.]

Okay. What's a Summon Spirit? Are they like that tree spirit who brought us here?

[Asch considers answering both questions, as one probably worries the replica and the other is useful information to know, assuming this time he actually stays. The former God-General, however, realizes one important thing: He isn't that bastard's personal encyclopedia to consult whenever he can't be bothered to figure it out himself. But...it's probably best to at least tell him a bit about summon spirits, seeing how that's relevant to being in Atlas. He grumbles a bit.]

Why am I even bothering to tell you this? They're spirits related to different elements. You do the math yourself.

[He realizes he could share more information, but that should at least give him a lead if he has half a brain. Seeing no one else responding, he cuts off connection and goes about his business.]

So they're kind of like Lorelei. Only instead of being aggregate sentiences for different types of fonons, they're made up of different elements?

[Wait, what? Is the technology malfunctioning? It takes Luke a moment to realize the feed's cut already.]
