The hold lasts however long you need to decide, within reason.

Your profile doesn't need to be ready when you join! As long as you have a journal and have decided between host or customer, we can consider you a member. The profile is just something you fill out after joining for plotting purposes, and there are no specific time constraints on filling it out.

If you feel that you need a plot post, you're more than welcome to make it! However, just contacting the other players on AIM to plot would be more than enough.

That's up to the customer! A hotel, the customer's home, wherever is convenient.

Customers are still welcome at the manor, but business is to be conducted elsewhere. We'll probably have group events, like parties for hosts and regular customers, to give everyone a chance to mingle.

A host is under no obligation to service a customer they're not interested in. Keep in mind, however, that they get paid according to how many customers they get!
