A/n : very very short one shot. Can it be even called one shot??? >_<
It was Yuya first day in kindegarten and his mother was leaving him behind with this scary nee chan in scary place. The five years old boy was screaming and trying to get his mother back. Which of course was total failure since that nee chan was holding him tight and carrying him to the noisy room with a lot of children around his age.
Yuya was still bailing his eyes out but the scary nee chan just told him to sit down next to tall boys with the smallest eyes that he’d ever seen, then wiped snot on his face.
He was hiccuping when the other boy reached his arm and pattted him on the head.
“there...there...don’t be sad. School is fun, we gotta play with all the toys here. They even have slide here.” The other boy smiled and his eyes made a half moon shape, and Yuya decided that he liked his smile.
The smaller boy stopped his hiccup and smiled back.
“nah..you look better smiling that crying. My name is Yabu Kota. What is your name?”
“Yuya.”
“ne Yuya, which one do you prefer? Strawberry cake or chocholate ice cream?”
“ice cream of coure. Yuya loves ice cream this much.” Yuya said while speading his tiny arms as far as he could. And grinning like mad because thinking about ice cream could alway make him happy and never sad again. His mother was very good at making chocholate ice cream by the way and he loved it specialy when the liquit melt down in his mouth. It was the most delicious thing in the whole word.
Kota laughed when he heard Yuya’s mumbling about his favourite ice cream and totally forget his fear by now.
“ne..ne.. if you be a good boy until the end of the day. Ayukawa sense will give you chocholate ice cream.”
Yuya respond of Kota’s explanation was priceless. His eyes were wide open and his broad smile stayed until the bell rung on the first recest.
Kota took Yuya by hand and dragged him outside to play slide. Yuya thought it’s so much fun like Kota’d said and laughed so hard until his stomache hurt. But that’s okay because Kota was laughing too and they enjoyed that moment together.
When Ayukawa sense called them to get in to the class, Yuya was expecting the ice cream could be given to them. But much to his disapointment, Ayukawa sense just asked them to draw their favourite animal.
Yuya was sad again coz he thought Kota was lying to him. He didn’t get his ice ream after all.
When Ayukawas sense collected the drawings, Yuya barely finished his rhinoceros who looked much like crocodile instead. He didn’t want to draw in the first place so why bother to make it perfect?
He didn’t want to talk to Kota either the whole time, even thought Kota was pratically talking nonstop beside him.
He just wanted to go home and met his mom.
Tears were formed on his eyes once again when he thought about his mother and how he missed her.
Then he saw chocholate ice cream was showed in front of his face.
The tears were immediatelly forgotten.
“Yuya, don’t you listen to me? I said Ayukawa sense will give us ice cream when we be good boy, didn’t I? The why are you crying?”
Kota was smiling while eating his chocholate ice cream. And Yuya wanted it too.
“can Yuya have ice cream too Kota kun?”
“are you promise to not cry?”
“Yes I promise.” Yuya nodded so many times and made his hair moving up down. Kota laughed even more.
“here we can share my chocholate ice cream since other kids are taking them all.”
“EH!!!!!”
“that’s why you should listen when people talking to you. So I was saying after we finish drawing we can take ice cream on the table.” Kota was pointing small table in the corner of the room while now was loaded by all children- trying to get flavor they wanted before somebody else took it.
Yuya was pouting by now, he didn’t get his favorite chocholate ice cream. Well it was his own fault anyway. But with the way Kota was smiling at him and willing to share his ice cream, that’s enough to make Yuya delightful. Maybe kindegaren wasn’t so bad after all.
The next day when Yuya’s mother drob him by at kindergarten, he ran as fast his little feet could bring him and greeted Kota with the enthusiastic smile form ear to ear. But of course he wasn’t forget to say good bye and promise to be a good boy to his mother though.
Maybe he would get his chocholate ice crem later.
