Hrm... part of this reminds me of Shortpacked, back when I read it a million years ago, but yeah, there's just enough that you might just have to Rule 35 this.
yeah, I was reading Control Alt Delete, primarily because I'm trying to understand why it has such a hatedom, and then suddenly I realize my life is as dysfunctional and crazy as a webcomic. Like the time I left work to go kill two chickens, came back with blood splattered on me, and did my taxes while managing the counter. I mean, this is my life and it's crazy and it's utterly ruining me for any future retail experience.
...I cannot draw well enough but I am collecting anecdotes like *mad*. One of my coworkers had a break-up worthy of Jerry Springer. We're talking brought up new girlfriend pregnant with a kid she claimed was his but wasn't to live with old girlfriend level.
It's completely ruining me for all retail experiences. I mean, I left work to kill chickens, came back splattered in blood, and no one blinked. And I get to walk around barefoot and order Chinese food with my boss and not show up for work until four in the afternoon. And I get to make earrings and sell them through one of our distributors.
I cannot draw well. I think I will post up little tidbits, bit by bit, to explain the madness.
You know, I think you've found your place, or at least a place where the puzzle piece fits. No more sitting in the cold selling your beautiful jewelry to people who don't appreciate hand crafts as much as they should unless you want to
( ... )
Look at my previous two respones. My job is crazy and almost all of it I love. It's just admittedly a really weird retail experience and it's spoiling me for future retail work.
