On the one hand, I'm an avid Arthur/Merlin fan, so I was kind of cheering for them. On the other hand, I don't think it could have ended any other way (pre-epilogue) and it just worked. I don't want to enjoy Gwaine/Merlin, but in this fic I can't help but be happy that Merlin went to Gwaine at the end.

lol. It also made me absolutely giddy to see that Merlin and Arthur got to have their lifetime together after all.

I loved how confused and unhappy Merlin was. Loved that it was partially the spells that kept him from telling anyone about what was going on. Loved that Arthur came after him and that they figured it all out. Loved the ending. The bittesweetness of it was great and then the sweetness at the end.
