so I thought I'd have some free time in the spring, because I only have a couple of Core sequences to finish off, and you can't start sequences in the spring, right?

If you want free time, you shouldn't take bio. When I was a bio major I had that plus labs plus chem plus labs and then my other classes...I stayed in almost every weekend doing work.
Plus, a two hour class isn't that bad...most of mine are three hours.
Does it have a lab, too?

The lab is included, but every upperclassman I know has told me to drop it. Pity it's required for graduation.
