"I can't," Sofia replied, searching for her underwear. "Where the hell did my bra go?"
"Did you check under the bed?" I asked, leaning up on one elbow. "I think I kicked it under there."
"Why the hell would you do that?" she snorted, half-crawling under the bed. "Damn it! Jim's gonna kill me!"
I reached for her arm, pulled her close. "Hey, calm down, okay? I was just teasing. Go do what you need to, and I'll see you when you get home." I pressed a light kiss to her lips. "Tell Jim it was my fault, that I threw your clothes in the wash."
She snorted and grinned. "Like he's gonna believe that," she quipped. "He's already giving me shit on a daily basis about when he'll start seeing us wearing each other's clothes." She ran a hand through her hair. "Maybe I can wet this down once I get over to the labs. It's so damned full of static today. I've no idea why."
I chuckled. "You were the one that wanted the damned satin sheets, baby."
