Oh for FUCK's sake!!!
So I got home tonight, checked my email like usual. Shenzi [my puter] was acting kind of sluggish, so I went to shut her down. Like I've done a million times in the past, right? Turn her back on, start up Thunderbird....to see it's asking me to start up a new email acct, like it's brand fucking new!!!!
Yeah, to say I freaked out is an understatement. Thankfully, I had a backup for my email from 7 September 2005, which I quickly restored. I swear there was at least one more since then, but can't find it, so not going to stress any further than I have been. 4 months of lost mail is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay fucking better than 5 years of lost mail....
So now I'm going to be slowly going thru all this shit and deleting out the old crap....again. And redoing folders, etc, etc, etc.
The really weird thing? There are some folders and files where the recent stuff [ie. since 9/7/05] are still there, especially from the past couple of weeks....and some where it all stops at 9/7/05. Very fucking strange.
So if there were comments in my inbox to respond to, and I don't respond, shoot me an email/link and I'll go back.
Thankfully, I managed to send a copy of all my ficathon assignments to my work email address and printed them out. Just waiting on the Lyric Wheel 2 lyrics to be sent my way...and I have to send out my lyrics as well.
But fuck that sucks ass!!!!
