My OUaT Season 2 Finale Review [in poem form]

May 30, 2013 21:36

This was written for the onceuponaland Round 5 Challenge 08: Finale Review. Basically, we had to do a review of the finale in a unique way. I decided to do mine as poetry. 1730 words of poetry in 34 stanzas of free verse to be exact.

THERE ARE SPOILERS if you haven't seen the finale. You have been warned.

On to the poetic review... )

I loved this whole post. :D

I truly have never been able to stomach Rumbelle,
All I can see with them is Stockholm Syndrome.
YES. THIS.

Greg and Tamara should just go away asap. Which is a shame because I had high hopes for Tamara.

And Ruby should be the one in charge of Storybrooke, she already was once (with Charming). Except I wonder if she's even coming back at all, since Meghan Ory has another show.

From what I last heard from Ory via twitter, her new series is a mid-season starter, so she'll potentially be in some of the earlier eps of S3. Y'know, if T2I [the 2 idiots, ie. Adam & Eddy] decide to actually DO something with her. At least they're not killing her off.

As for Tamara, I was dubious from the start, if only because it's yet another new character to potentially gum up the works. I'd hoped she'd be a better bad guy than she was. And JFC, could they have gotten a worse actor for Greg? He sucks dirty donkey balls!

*fingers crossed* But after she was a REGULAR but wasn't even on the show AT ALL for half of the season, I don't have much hope. ;]

I love when there's a new female character, and I actually loved that Neal had a fiancée, and the only thing I was afraid of was that they would make her just a plot device that stands in the way of Neal/Emma. I hoped she would be an actual outsider without some hidden agenda, because it would be something new and interesting to see. I didn't expect that they would make her a plot device AND a really boring and pointless villain. And re: Greg I'm just "UGH, GO AWAY ALREADY", I don't even care about the actor, this character's storyline is awful enough.

That was such BS what they did with Ory... It still pisses me off.

Does this mean that next season it'll just be the ship-bound six and the folks in Neverland? I might have to start watching this show properly if we're going to get the core-characters interacting more.

No, they'll still do stuff in Storybrooke and FTL, I'm sure, plus wherever else their minds decide to have them go. I'd LOVE to have it be focused primarily on the core-five plus Hook [I don't consider him core really, though he's gotten better in this last ep]. I'm curious to see what will happen as S3 begins, but I'm wary because I just don't trust T2I [the two idiots, ie. Adam & Eddy].

That's too bad. I would have definitely signed up for the Regina, Emma and Snow show. At least if they keep Henry how he was in the final ep, rather than continually hating on his mother, it might be palatable.
