Well, I skimmed through it and wow...such deep insight. I like Kaiba and I think he's hot and stuff...but I'm more of a Yami shipper. Yugi/Yami and Yami/Pharoah (don't ask. :P).
I just wanted to say you did a good job writing that. After that, it would truly be hard to decide who would get his heart in the end. You definitely made some good conclusions to each pairing. If I had to pick, it would probably be Yugi. Only because, to be honest, I don't like the girls in the show and I'm not a Joey fan. So there's my 2 cents...wait, give that back.

I don't watch any of these shows, so I have no idea what you're talking about, beyond sexuality and slash pairings. :P But I do -completely- agree with what you said here: I would say yes. People think of homosexuality as something that they “hear” about people being but it never really comes into their lives or of those they know closely. But what we fail to realize is that it’s more common then we may think. Especially the first line! I think that's one of the problems people have about accepting it. When it's something foreign and faraway, it's easier to distance yourself from it and call it strange, but when it's closer to you, you're forced to at least try to understand it. :)

I'm glad you found something of interest. And yes, that is probably the biggest issue. Another example (I don't know if you've seen this or not) in Queer as Folk, Justin's mother is brought into the situation when she realizes her son is gay and grows to accept it because she still loves him. When love or personal ties are involved, it makes it easier for indviduals to wrap their minds around as a possibility. *hugs* Glad to hear from you!
Well, I've never looked so deeply on the sexuality matter but relationships I've always liked (wanted to happen)... it's actually only one: Mai and Jounouchi!! Anzu and Yami NO FUCKIN WAI! >.> I just dislike to think differently from original concepts of fandom. But all the fics were good - Seto/Mai one was my fav.
As I said I've never thought so much about it but everything about Seto you said - I know, I figured this myself long time ago. :) Being without parents, raised by this cruel man it's normal to put on a mask of coldness. But I know he cares. He just would never allow himself to show his weakness so others can use it against him or sth. (even if they won't)
