my grandfather had mesothelioma, was also in hospice. It's terrible. I'm glad Aliza's grandfather was able to meet Rena. What a bracha for him to meet his great-granddaughter.
It's a trip to watch babies become more aware of themselves and their surroundings. It sounds like you're loving being at home with her :)

LOL. So true. So very true. Every time they mentioned Freud in my psych lectures, I gave an audible groan of "I can't freakin' believe they're still teaching this cokehead."

Regarding Shifra's engagement, I will likely have the same reaction when Esther gets engaged. The birth of the twins didn't make me feel old, it just made me wonder how the heck it happened that I produced offspring. (The next person to offer the biological explanation will get smacked.) Mazal tov to both families involved.

As for Aliza's grandfather, I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope that he's kept comfortable.
