Mm. I am a bit down today, so I would like to perform AN EXPERIMENT to see if anyone actually uses Dreamwidth to respond to memes these days. (Deep in my soul I hate the tumblr migration, not least how much I have accepted the tumblr migration, because there is no proper way to have discussions or do community over there, blah blah usual lament.)

Get thee to a Dreamwidth! By which I don't actually mean repost your comment there or anything, just ... you are one of my only friends who is primarily on LJ still, it is shocking!

Anyway, Darcy!

1. She announced she was bisexual at sixteen, and spent the next few years cultivating a truly scathing Bitch Plz look to break out whenever anyone offered a stupid opinion about her bisexuality. She even made her own bingo card of Stupid Things People Say About Bisexuality, and whenever she achieves a blackout she treats herself to something, like a new comic book anthology or a huge bag of candy.

2. Her first all-clothes-off and orgasms-for-all sex was with her roommate in her first semester of college. They're still friends, and Darcy went to the roommate's wedding last year.

3. Her type in dudes is big frat guys with lots of muscles. Her type in ladies is tiny scrappy intelligent women who don't give a fuck about how other people see them. Darcy had, like, months of awesome masturbation material after Thor visited.

I have a Dreamwidth! I never log in. Or post. Or anything. I tried, I really did, when there was the whole mass exodus, and once when LJ was down, and it just does not interest me at all. All my icons are here, I have all this paid LJ stuff, and DW has been buggy enough for me that I'm certainly not paying it for it in addition to a paid LJ. There was that whole 6-month period where I couldn't log in or reset my password on DW, and support was largely silent and took forever to get back to me. I'm glad it works for everyone else, though!

DAAAAAAAAAAARCY. THE BINGO CARD. OH MY GOD, HEADCANON TOTALLY FUCKING ACCEPTED.

There continues to be tragically little good Darcy/Steve fic. I'll read Darcy/Jane/Thor or Darcy/Bruce or even Darcy/Clint although I find it kind of weird, but Darcy/Steve is totally the OTP of my heart.

I also maybe have a soft spot for Darcy/Fury, for which I blame the crackfic on AO3 that made way too much sense.

Neal!

1. He loves it when people top him, surprise surprise. Loves. Mostly he loves being ordered around and held down; he hates pain and being called filthy names, and is really irritated when he ends up with a partner who learns he's a sub and conflates that with masochism.

2. Neal falls in love really hard. He'll definitely sleep with people he's not in love with, because it will gain him something or just because he finds them attractive, but when he falls in love it's serious. In fact he's less likely to fall into bed with someone he's in love with, because the relationship is so important to him that he wants to be very careful of it and only risk minimal damage.

3. He really isn't attracted to people based on gender, but in the main he only sleeps with women, mostly because he's more likely to reap social benefits from that than from sleeping with men, but also because Keller burned him pretty badly, and he hasn't had any similarly bad experience in a relationship with a woman.

YES, ALL OF THIS. Also right after I posted it occurred to me that Neal and Darcy would totally get along and now I want crossover fic that no one will ever write, because who is going to write me crossover gen fic about Neal and Darcy bonding in a totally platonic fashion?
