I agree with you about Martin Freeman. *_* You mentioned the trailer, but have you been watching the Peter Jackson making-ofs? There is not much MF, but there is a lot about the moviemaking, which is at least entertaining during the INTERMINABLE WAIT.

YES! I have absolutely watched those making-ofs. In fact I check YouTube much too often in the hopes that a new one has been posted.

Oooh, Mal. Um. I have the feeling that he'd be extremely good at resisting the Ring, but also ... weirdly bad at destroying it? Like, he'd have to have a really good incentive. If he got that the Ring's continued existence would put his crew in danger, yeah, he'd destroy it without a second thought.
