Sometimes I just really miss the days before cell phones came into common, "necessary" use. I miss the mainstream use of older forms of communication like landline telephones, hand-written letters... hell, even basic face-to-face communication at times

For what it's worth? Not just you - I was actually thinking the same thing the other night. Each form of communication you've mentioned just seems so much more... personal... than ones that are hugely common now (texts, emails, etc.)
