Knowing what mine does, yours is probably somewhere in the darkest, coolest, shadiest part of the house ... deeply hidden and attempting to hibernate through summer. Hence reluctant to move short of the world ending. If somehow outside - probably exactly the same. Can be hard to rouse them in this type of heat.
My cat did this the other day when she had conjunctivities and didn't want to be taken to the vet so she hid. Little shit gave me such a scare. My advice is you calm down. work your way through all the rooms in the house, one by one. Check in all cupboards, behind fridges and washing machines, under chairs, under clothes etc. just do it throughly and methodically. Good luck, let us know when you find it
