Oh my dear lordy, I loved this. I am so very glad that I gave it a read (being generally somewhat dubious about genderswap fics, and not the biggest Gene/Sam shipper) but I just recently read your Dr Who s4 & 5 and the awesomeness of those were enough to convince me to ignore my doubts and read on.

I really love the attention you've paid to how the relationships change when Sam is Samantha (except Nelson...lol). I especially liked this bit about Annie This Annie had been watching a Samantha Tyler do exactly what Sam would do, and she stood a little taller and carried out arrests.. Wonderful xx

I think I would have enjoyed this even more if I'd seen a single episode of LoM, but I still really, really enjoyed it anyway. This is the least cracky genderswap scenario I've ever read, easily, and I love how you illustrate the slight changes in interpersonal relationships, and don't dwell too heavily on Sam's reaction to his own physical changes (with him just sort of stubbornly ignoring himself in the shower, which I thought was really amusing).

This actually makes me want to WATCH this show (it's been on my list of things-to-watch for awhile now) so I can pick up on all the little things that you have so brilliantly, though I have the funny feeling that I'll be mildly disappointed by the show and wind up looking for good fanfic like this to fill in the gaps. You write a double-edged sword.

If it helps, I've had trouble writing LoM fic for such a long because I suspect that (at least most of the time) the show is way more brilliant than I can hope to be. So hopefully if/when you do watch it, you will not be disappointed. :D

The wierdest thing about this story is that it's not crack at all. It feels like this could really be happening and that's a testiment to just how well written it was.

I loved it.

I have wanted desperately to read this for the past two weeks (because girl!Sam akdjksa, the secret craving I have had in my heart of hearts for the past year and dared not even think to wish for) but there were things that needed to be done and so it sat in my bookmarks as a lingering reward ( ... )
