What a fascinating crossover! I love the way you've kept Mary's character, just added an extra dimension.

Secret Garden fanfic exists? This blows my mind with the spot-on characterization and the fun integration of the two settings. Awesome job!

This is awesomeness. All the little details of characterization! Colin's morbidness and optimism, and Dickon's matter-of-fact acceptance, and the difference between the Slayer that ten-year-old Mary would have made and the slayer that fourteen-year-old Mary would - I love it.

(In the interests of full disclosure: months and months ago I actually wrote a drabble about Martha Sowerby, Vampire Slayer. Obviously the universes are strangely tempting to cross over. This is ten times more awesome, though!)

I really enjoyed this! The thing I loved the most was all the 'might have been' moments, particularly when Mary thinks what she would have been like if she'd been called as a Slayer sooner. It made me think about canon on both sides in a new way.

Great story - thank you!

You don't know me and I don't know you, and I'm not at all certain how I stumbled across your journal/this story...

...but it's awesome.
