I loved it! I love how you took the original and made it your own. Dean's characterization was wonderfully subtle and conflicted, as it should be in that situation. Also, it was hot. :D

Thank you--I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I've never had the courage to write a real end 'verse fic before, never mind Dean/Dean, so it was nice, if a little intimidating, to have wave_obscura's wonderful fic to bounce off of. I imagine Dean would have been nine hundred kinds of conflicted in this situation.

I'm glad you found it hot--that scene with the memory of Jordan was actually the first part of the story I thought of.

Oh damn, I love this. The way you wrote the pain of Dean's injury and the way he wanted it to just finish things was wrenching, but then that shared memory was just SO SO HOT that I almost couldn't remember that there had been such pain.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It was actually kind of painful to write that kind of bone-deep depression, but I wanted the emergence/redemption to be Dean-like, you know? Hence the shared sexy memory :) (I think it might be my version of a healing-cock story...)

Glad you liked the Jordan memory--it was the first part of the fic I thought of--I thought Dean would have had to approach the prospect of having sex with himself kind of obliquely. And I loved the weirdness of saying "we did this" "we did that"--like it was a threesome ;) (and yeah, being me, I wanted the biblical allusion...)
