Awesome! Loved the structure (and the idea of Cas smelling like not-quite-apples!) and what you've done with the characters, even though you know I don't know Fringe ;-P
Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed it--even without knowing Fringe. I so relieved the structure worked, too--it's the most complicated time scheme I've tried to write....Thanks for reading!
OMG! Wow, just wow! This was incredible. I LOVED the fact that you put them in the 2014 part and all the moments are just perfect. You nailed Walter as well, and that is so hard to do, imo.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it--and especially that you found Walter IC. I was scared to write him, but I felt like I learned something about the character from doing it. And I couldn't resist the idea of Walter getting high with 2014!Cas--though that section could have just turned epic :)
Thanks so much for reading and for the lovely feedback--
OMG I heart you so much for this. I've always thought Frine and SPN would make a great crossover. Love your Walter voice and his friendship with Castiel. Now that I've read it, it makes complete sense. Also Dean and Peter would totally be BFFs and Dean would absolutely check out Olivia. Heh!
Me too--but the SPN/Fringe fic I always thought I'd write was Dean-Peter (or Dean/Peter), because I'm convinced they ran scams together while Sam was at Stanford and Walter was in the loony bin (so I had to get a little bit of that in there) But the recipient wanted Walter-Castiel--and I'm really glad I tried that: it made me have much more sympathy for Walter, a character I've never quite had a handle on--
Anyway--thanks for reading--I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I tried to get somebody to write it for me for this xover_exchange, but I got a crazily beautiful Morgana/Thirteen (from House) fic instead--which I was very happy with, indeed. So, yes, will put the Dean/Peter bunny back in the hutch :)
I'm just starting to get into Fringe but I know enough to recognize the basics. You managed to weave the two universes together very well. An angel should have no problem with dimensional barriers and Walter would, of course, be the kind of human who could hear/see one without being injured.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I actually kind of stole the idea of angels being able to move between alternate universes from the fabulous angels in His Dark Materials (I'd love for Cas to meet one of them)--I don't know if Castiel ever actually appeared to Walter in his burn-your-eyes-out form (though probably Walter could rig up something to deal with that :).
