I was curious, and looked on Wikipedia to see exactly what happens in the Twilight books I haven't read (only read the first).

What do you mean, it's not romantic? Wouldn't you be delighted if a boy was so jealous cared about you so much that he destroyed your car and kidnapped you to stop you seeing your best friend? Don't you see that spine-breaking mutant mini Mary Sues are all you need to be happy? What on earth is wrong with you? Do you have a functioning brain, or something?

I wasn't all too keen on the ending but I could not put that book down the whole time I was reading it. I had to though when I was on the plane, because there was turbulence right at the bit when she was gorging herself on chicken and puking due to her dearly beloved spawn. THAT was incredibly nauseating, given the reading conditions...
