when i posted, i had just finished scraping the last of the icecream out of the freezer bowl of my icecream maker. it took a long time to make (several hours), because the recipe that i used wanted me to let the raspberries soak in lemon juice (i used lime) and sugar before adding them to the egg/sugar/milk mixture.
when the icecream i make comes out of the ice cream maker/kitchen aid mixer attachment, it's a very nice soft serve consistency. it may be rock hard this morning, but i haven't checked on it yet. it's been so long since i made ice cream, i have no idea what it'll be like this morning.

And how do you keep it from being rock hard?
