Yay! He's headed home! Great chapter. I love that Derek referred to "The Hair" - because, you know, it is definitely demands capitalization.

Thanks so much :) I was glad I was able to help Cristina and Burke get back to a remotely healthy place. I hated how the show kept having Burke force his dreams on her, and she just kept taking it.

I really loved the gift giving moment. It was sort of a parallel to the scrub cap, and even though it was for a different purpose, I don't think that made it any less special. It was a short, sweet little bit that I really enjoyed writing.

And I explained above why I just adore that moment with Dr. Weller, but in summary, it gave Derek a moment to show that despite his misery over the situation, he's aware of how it affected other people, too, and he's also aware that his life was saved by this man.
