Meredith was in a daze.  She'd spent the morning beset by Derek's nieces and nephews.  They'd cajoled her into playing twister.  And hide and seek.  And tag.  And all sorts of other things.  She hadn't gotten this much exercise

great chapter.. even though it left me all depressed at the end. I know he has to go through the bad stuff, I just gotta stick it out with Mer. Because she's stirring! And bonding! and asking important medical questions in a very Meredith way that makes you want to squueze her tight.

Thanks! Sorry the ending was sad -- there weren't really a whole lot of ways around him remembering stuff from S2 without some sort of negative reaction. Glad you enjoyed the kitchen scene. Go, go Meredith on the family front!

Ah, this is the uncommunicative Derek we know so well. ;)

I'm actually more worried about his pervasive exhaustion than I am about this new memory. I trust you (as opposed to Shonda) to bring Derek and Meredith together to work their issues out. They'll be okay in your hands. I don't have to spend a week zaprudering promo pictures and clips trying to figure out if the girl in the bar is just a girl in a bar...

Thanks :) Yeah, you know he had to come back sometime... I haven't watched anything spoilery for tonight's episode. Just the 30 second clip from last week was enough to freak me out ;p If I had stuff on replay I'd be a pile of merdery angst, I'm sure.

so fantastic! as always... sarah's so diplomatic, you can tell how kind she is by the way she deals with her mom... great character development...

I laughed out loud at this... it is SUCH a Meredith thing to say!

Thanks :) And we'll see :) I probably won't get much writing done tonight, but I have a fairly solid idea of what's going on in Part 15, so it shouldn't take me too long once I actually have a moment to write.

I cannot wait for the heavy angst in the next update. I really like the fact that Meredith played with the children. That's a sure sign of good people.
