Derek makes me more and more proud with every update. And Meredith being the endlessly supportive, awesome wife just makes me want to give her the biggest hug. They really have come so far since the shooting. :'') Loved this as usual, and looking forward to more!
Good to see you back and another AATW update! It is always nice to discover one when I check your page. First of all, I have to say, Meredith totally rocks in this chapter! I love her. I also like how you have made Derek's family real, and loving and supportive. It ticks me off the way the writers on the show seem to go out of their way to make it seem like Derek's sisters are all bitches and they hate Meredith and Meredith doesn't like any of them. It is totally unrealistic and so out of character from how they originally hinted at his family. Anyway... I guess the big question now is whether the AATW baby will arrive before the TV baby!!
On a related note, I was wondering if you know whether the pdempsey freeforum folks found another home. I was a serious lurker on that site for many years (and the TWOP board before that!) and I miss my PD fixes!! :-)
Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa, for not leaving a comment earlier! This was another awesome chapter and I really enjoyed the family dynamics. Well, "enjoyed" might be the wrong term, but I found them very realistic, Amy still rightfully upset about the way she's been treated, Kathy and Rachel finally realizing what they've done and the big bear hug in the end. That's what families are for after all and I'm glad the Shepherds live up to it :-) I also loved the tiny glimpse into the past and to see that Derek's dad was not the perfect guy Derek built him up to be in his head.
Meredith rocked as supportive wife and this chapter also made me realize how much I miss Mark on the show (and I never thought these words would ever come out of my mouth, because I've never been a huge fan of Mark anyway. But this really made me miss him)
