It's cold here. And raining.

So cold. So wet. I would trade if I could. *sigh* I miss Utah.

It's a deal? How can we arrange that trade?

It's supposed to be 89.7 here now. My appt. has finally cooled down enough for me to feel more like a person and less like a roasted chicken, but it's still really hot. :(

OMG. Is that normal? I thought the weather in CA was mild at this time of year. Holy moly. It was 60 here today...

It's not normal at all. :(

I left the rats plenty of water, but it was *hot* (or at least warm) water by the time I got home. :( One of my rats was looking so unhappy I was seriously contemplating going to an emergency vet tonight, but he drank his water once I cooled it down and he ate his frozen blueberry and he groomed himself. He still looks pretty un-perky, but he's not perky at the best of times so it's hard to tell. :(

I take it you don't have air conditioning. I have a friend who lives near Oakland and she has this problem for about a week every year--because she has dogs, she ends up taking a hotel room with AC.

Try putting ice in your rats' water bottle or partially freezing it so it will stay cooler longer. The bottle will also serve as a means of dispensing some coolness as the ice melts as well.

Hope the weather breaks soon for you. We have temps in the upper 90s most of the summer, but everywhere you go there is AC as a result.

I can completely understand why this has sapped your energy to work on your project right now.

I gave them frozen water (and popsicles) and it was a lot less hot yesterday, though still over a huindred. But the difference between 110 and 100 made the rats much happier--they're back to their old selves. :)

We're at 55... (and it was way colder than that this weekend). let's mix the two and get it half way!

*tries to bribe the weather gods*

Well, it's only about 90 today, so maybe I got someof your cool air after all. Over here 55 is dead of winter. :)
